Description

IHEP is building the cryogenic permanent magnet undulator and in-vacuum undulator for High Energy Photon Source. The in-vacuum Hall probe measurement facility is the necessary tool for tuning the undulator. However, in the narrow and closed vacuum environment, the rail straightness of Hall probe measurement facility is difficult to guarantee. A position sensitive detector is used to measure the guide rail straightness error and a piezoelectric ceramic motor is used to compensate the error. In this paper, the guide rail straightness error measurement and compensation method of guide rail are introduced.
