Registration

All participants (delegates and students) must fill out the Registration Form  and pay the registration fee to get access to the IMMW 2022 virtual conference.

Delegates and students must follow the payment instructions to have their registrations validated. A registration validated after the regular registration period will be considered “late registration”, resulting an increase of value of the registration fee.

Note: The "manual approval" you see in your registration profile  is only regarding the fee payment (not your registration) - the status of your registration will be updated as soon as the payment is identified.

 Payment

Once you finish the Registration Form submission you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with a link to access the payment system (credit card only).

The payment system will use the delegate/student e-mail addresses as registration identifiers. Please, make sure that the same e-mail address entered in the Registration Form are identical to those used in the payment system. This will be the only personal data to cross-reference payers and registrants.

For your convenience, group registration is allowed by the payment system. Multiple registrations can be added to the "shop cart". Before confirming the payment, you must enter the e-mail addresses of all participants you will be paying for and have registered via Registration Form

The payment receipt will be sent by e-mail once the process is concluded.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Requests for cancellation and/or refund of the registration fee must be sent to eventos@cnpem.br

Cancellations will be accepted up to 30 days before the start of the event and an administrative fee of USD 75 will be charged for payments made by bank transfer. Note that payments made by credit card will be exempt from administration fees.

Cancellations requested any time within the 30 days before the start of the event will not be refunded.

The refund will be made by chargeback on the credit card or by bank transfer, depending on the original payment method.

Participants’ problems with online credit card payment

There are several reasons for these problems. Usually not the payment system declines the payment, but the bank of the participant.

The most common reasons are:

  • For security reasons the credit card is not authorized for online payments to foreign countries or in foreign currencies, or the limit for such payments is lower than for national payments. Contact your bank / credit card operator. In 90% of the cases the problem can be solved when the participant contacts his or her bank to make the necessary changes to be able to pay online or to pay to the country where the event takes place.

  • Participants have forgotten their 3-D Secure / Verified by Visa password (often they even do not remember that they have one).

  • The participant is not in her home city or country when she attempts to pay online. The location of the payer can easily be detected by the issuing bank and usually they decline such payments, even if the 3-D Secure / Verified for Visa Code is correct.

  • The payment amount exceeds the limit of the credit card for online payments.

  • The card has already been used this month and the monthly limit of the card would be exceeded with this payment. (The monthly limit is often only 1000-2000 $ / € and if the month is nearly over this can easily happen).

  • The credit card is not authorized for online payments

  • The servers of the participant's bank or an intermediary banking system are under maintenance

  • The card has been blocked by the bank, maybe it was misused elsewhere. (Please be aware that millions of credit cards have been stolen during the last years from payment service providers).
