Description

A new magnetic measurement laboratory was constructed to measure the storage ring magnets for the Advanced Photon Source Upgrade. This facility has been in continuous operation since June 2019 and measurements are completed in about 1300 of the total 1355 magnets procured. The measurement systems include four rotating coil, two rotating wire and one Hall probe mapping bench. Measurements are completed on all benches, except two. One rotating coil and one rotating wire system are still in use to measure the last set of magnets which are still in production. All benches have functioned reliably with negligible down time. The performance of these measurement systems will be presented along with some illustrative results.
