Description
An overview of the magnet activities at the Paul Scherrer institute is presented. The talk will be mainly focused on the two running projects: the production of magnets for the SLS upgrade and the R&D performed in the framework of the CHART collaboration*. The challenges and the on-going development of these two projects since 2019 will be reviewed, with a special focus on the competence center and facility dedicated to insertion devices and conventional and superconducting magnets, as well as magnetic measurement techniques.
